$ 366.96

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

Up for sale is an original 42nd Ohio Infantry officer embroidered hat insignia. This is the larger style measuring  3" x  2" . This along with several other Garfield items came from an estate with direct ties to General James Garfield. Also shown but being sold separately is an embroidered Hardee Hat insignia and a CDV image of Garfield. The 42nd O.V.I. insignia is in overall very solid condition for its age, showing some felt loss, and minor wear to the embroidered edge. It is also missing one of the brass wire attachments on the rear. The piece shows a nice deep aged patina. Great item to add to your collection of one of the more sought after Ohio Generals, and later President.
