    New production parts with MIL-STD-171 Manganese Phosphate parkerized finish which matches original Springfield military production finish specs vs. the "CMP grey" Zinc Phosphate finish which was only appropriate for rifles rebuilt during the Vietnam era 60's M1 rebuild program and CMP aftermarket stocks.
