In 1996 Underberg celebrated its 150th company anniversary. The company is honoring this historic milestone with the limited edition Tin. Portraits of the three company founders adorn the vintage jewelry box, as well as a picture of the parent company and the company coat of arms. The fourth side is decorated with the distinctive Underberg hand sign and the portion bottle. The 1996 vintage tin can is a must-have for friends of the brand and collectors.
Hubert Underberg founded the company together with his wife Catharina Albrecht in 1846. He developed the recipe for the Underberg, which is still made today using the Semper Idem® secret process. His grandson Emil Underberg achieved another highlight with the introduction of the 20 milliliter portion bottle. This has also remained unchanged since 1949. The Underberg Tin 1996 is a reminder of the company's 150-year history, the global success of which is largely based on the ideas of Hubert and Emil Underberg. There is now another limited anniversary tin available for purchase. This was launched in 2021 for the 175th anniversary.
