  • Condition: There is the typical mild oxidation of some metal parts, but overall the condition is amazing, I have seen at least a half-dozen of these over the years and this one is in terrific shape. Please look at the photos carefully. Antennas are both present, as is the complete paper reference guide built in to the upper assembly. One of the hinges that helps deploy the book has broken on the left side, and there is some minor cracking in the clear plastic facing around the headphone jack as wellas the extreme upper dial face...nearly invisible unless looking carefully from below. We did test the radio using the 110VAC plug, but we did not fully deploy the reel that contains the wire for this plug because we were afraid that there might be some degradation with the rubber parts. We dusted the radio but attempted no restoration, nor have we applied any cleaning agents or solvents to this radio, The dial light may no longer function, but the switch appears to be working. As do all tuning parts.

    Description

    Amazing radio from the estate of a Radio collector. Kept indoors, dark and dry for decades!!! Possibly one of the nicer functioning A600s out there....and this one works. Model A600 stamped in silver paint on the inside left cover.
    Excellent example of this early consumer shortwave, fully working, please read condition notes carefully.
    We were able to plug in and tune on three different bands. All controls appear to be fully functional.
